Home

The Coffee County Historical Society was founded in 1969 by a group of individuals who sought to preserve and record the history of the county and its people. The Society has met on a bi-monthly basis since its beginning and the meeting have generally had programs designed around a specific topic relating to the history, genealogy, folklore and archaeology of the county. The Society usually meets at its office & research room in the Historical Coffee County Courthouse, 101 West Fort Street, “on the County Square,” in Manchester, Tennessee. Occasionally we do meet at some other local historic place of interest.
